After a REALLY busy (but fun!) five days, I'm back to the 'ol blog. I promise -- when I can get timings figured out (as in when I have time + when I can actually get a decent internet connection) I will be on a regular routine again. Me + routine = good. Me + whatever happens happens = bad (insert very stressed out looking smiley icon here).
Thursday - Saturday were spent traveling to and from Singapore. We had to leave Indonesia for immigration purposes and Singapore is closest. Nice for us since Singapore is so, so wonderful and fully of any and every shop and restaurant imaginable. Expensive, but yummy. Within two minutes of my hotel was a McDonald's, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Subway, California Pizza Kitchen, etc. etc. My stomach, and my wallet, have seen better days. But the trip was good -- time to hang out with the family, jump on beds, and debrief the last month. We arrived back Saturday night -- fresh and legally in the country (don't get me wrong, we were legally here before, we just couldn't stay more than 30 days. Now we can be here for up to 12 months).
One of the highlights was getting to hang out with scrapper extraordinaire and CT member Jacq (aka purple_colourz! The trip came on so suddenly (we thought we were going this week) I didn't even have time to stop and think about who I knew in Singapore. Thankfully she contacted me and we got to hang out some -- she had dinner with me and the fam and then after I got the kiddos in bed we went out for coffee and talked scrapping and mommyhood :) Thanks, Jacq, for taking time out of your weekend to hang out with me. Can't wait till we can do it again!
Sunday we headed to church and then had lunch with some friends. They then graciously took us to a nearby mall where we had dessert and did a little shopping. Doesn't this look soooo yummy? It was :)
On our way back to the car (on the rooftop parking lot of the mall), we were able to get a good view of the city. I know that I have showed you a lot of photos of where we live, but I don't want you to get the idea that everywhere is like that. Our development is small and not in any way like the rest of our city. This is what see every time we go into town, every time we go shopping, etc. We are very blessed to be where we are and yet I really love going into the city. It grips me the way India did.

I'll be back tomorrow -- I promise. And in case you are wondering, the September grab bags will be up on Thursday :)
How fun to hang out with a fellow scrapper (across the world, no less!). The dessert looks yummy!

YAY! All these photos are fabulous and making me even more excited for our family trip to Malaysia in Jan! I must say I'm a tad jealous at your adventure! :) There's something about that culture that is facinating to me. I'm so glad to see that everything is going so well for your family - schedulewise.
