Thanks for the sweet comments and emails regarding my post yesterday. It is good to step back and remember why we do what we do. And as if she could read my mind (or my blog!), Alaina asked to look through some of our albums yesterday. She wanted me to READ to her...she wanted to hear the stories of the things she did or said. She didn't care about the pages with a pretty picture and one word. She didn't care if there were catchlights in the eyes or if there was a harsh shadow across the face. She didn't care if my shadows looked real or if I used a great new kit. She just wanted to see the pictures of us living our lives and to hear the stories. Sooo good to be reminded!
It's not that it is BAD to use new stuff, to strive for great photos, or to limit the journaling. It is more of what makes up the bulk of my pages. Are the stories there? Will it help us and others remember or learn?
Since I was thinking about scrapping, I guess I was in the mood to scrap. So, here are some pages for your Friday enjoyment. Some of them I love, some I don't. It's okay.
First is this weeks Digi Dare...Emily dared us to scraplift ourselves! So, I lifted one of my older LO's using one of my templates. The photo is an old scanned-in one.

Here is another one with a scanned in older photo. Quality isn't great but how can I NOT scrap a photo of Alaina getting ready to come home from the hospital?

Make sure you pick up this great kit if you haven't already! It is only available for one more week! All proceeds go to Minute Man Arc for Human Services, Inc.

These are great--I enjoyed peeking at your pages. I especially liked the red one with your daughter in her Disney clothes.
