...about Grey's Anatomy last night. Oh nevermind. Yes. Let's talk about it. Okay, I will talk (type) and you get to listen (read).
What WAS that? I mean really, I would have watched the new show, just because I love Addison so much, if it came on AFTER Grey's. Or, if ABC insisted on intertwining the two shows they could have at least had the first half be this new thing and then let the second half be pure Grey's so at least when it was over I wouldn't be so mad at ABC. The thing is, they didn't even really mix the shows. We would get 10 seconds of Grey's and then *BAM* back to California looking into the lives of people I don't care about. I had been really excited for this two hour special. Ugh.
Silly to be frustrated, I know, but I don't watch any other TV. Every once in a while we will catch Super Nanny and we would watch the Amazing Race if it was on a different time. But Grey's is the ONE show I watch every week. I really, really like it. I like it because it has some depth. The people are shallow and self-centered but the writing is fabulous. I love looking at the deeper issues involved and the way storylines evolve over months. Really, really good show with an interesting look into human nature. The characters AND ours. For those of you who watch, isn't it amazing how the writers can spend months making you HATE a character and then in an instant make you actually feel BAD for them? That's good writing.
Anyway, I was very disappointed. I gave up scrapping to watch THAT?

So, I am feeling better. Wednesday my stomach was in knots and I had a fever all day. We had Caleb's evaluation so I had to try to stay well enough for that. They moved it from 11:00 to 1:30 so I just tried to stay rested. After the eval the fever spiked so I just laid on the couch the rest of the day, watched a Netflix movie, and tried my best to care for the kiddos. Yesterday I woke up feeling a bit better but then had to face the disaster of a house that was the result of the kids having free reign on Wednesday. Now that the house is put back together, I definately feel better and even had time to scrap yesterday. I'll show those in a bit.
But first, Caleb's eval. It went really well. They just did a lot of language testing. They seemed to be more interested in his comprehension than in his actual speaking ability. For instance, they did a lot of "can you point to the dog" rather than actually asking him to say it. But he did really well and I was actually surprised at his language comprehension. He is definately getting most of what goes on. And his speaking skills ARE improving. He is still way behind where he needs to be, but it is getting better every day. In the end, they said that basically he just has some gaps in his learning. They do the tests on an ability level, starting with the easiet tasks and then gradually getting harder. He could do all the stuff at the beginning and then there would be one thing he couldn't (or didn't want to) do but then he could do the next two, then miss one, etc. So they really just want to work to fill in the gaps. Next week we will meet with the early childhood specialist and make a plan for him.

So I scrapped yesterday. It felt good.
I used Lisa Whitney's CHALKED FULL OF FUN kit at Scrapartist. Love it.
I used one of my templates from the grab bag for this one. I also used Meredith Fenwick's awesome SWEET NOTIONS page set, carboard backing by Tracy Ann Robinson, brads by Shabby Princess, stitching by Lisa Whitney, date stamp by Katie Perteit.
Love this one of Cabe. I used VINTAGE DREAMS by Little Dreamer Designs. Paint strokes and carboard tab by Michelle Coleman. Note paper by Christy Lyle, word art by MandaBean, date stamp by Amber Clegg.
Well, that's it for me today. I need to start working on some gifts for Mother and Father's Day, I plan on ordering some more prints from Scrapbook Pictures before the sale is over, need to do laundry (how DO we go through so many clothes???) and then hopefully I will get a chance to run today.
I hope you have a great weekend! And remember, today is the last day to get my May Grab Bag!
Your LO's are gorgeous! Glad you are feeling better!

Ditto with the Grey's Anatomy thing. I LOVE that show but last night, I only half-watched, and that has never happened to me while watching Grey's ever! And I feel like I've got a bias against the new show now because of it! LOL!
Glad you're feeling better! Love that LO with Lisa's chalked kit.
