I know, I know...it has been FOREVER since I blogged. Well, okay, more like two weeks but in blog land that is a lot. Ugh. Sorry about that. Life just gets in the way sometimes and you have to step back and focus on other stuff. It doesn't mean that I didn't think about blogging though...I did. Just didn't happen.
So...I could spend hours updating you on our life and all its day to day joys but that would take longer than I have. So, I will give you the highlights:
* Yes, I got my camera! WOO HOO! I LOVE it and can't wait to learn more about it. Sooo fun! One of my first pictures was of my little sweet Levi...
Yep...my boy and my camera...a great combination!
* We spent four days in Florida! It was a multi-purpose trip. We went to see some friends that we worked with in Malaysia (Jeremiah and Erika) and we went to visit my grandmother. Now my grandmother is no ordinary grandmother...she is 98 years old! But she is an amazing woman. I hadn't seen her in five years and she had never met Jason or the kids. It was soooo good for everyone to meet! It was really special! She is amazing for 98...in fact, her social life is so busy that when I called to tell her I was coming she said, "Well, my schedule is really full...do you think you could come some other time?" Um, sure grandma. Haven't seen you in five years and we have plane tickets to see you but sure, we'll reschedule! LOL! Luckily, she squeezed us in between dinner dates and bridge club! What a hoot!
* On our trip to Florida Jason and I got a special, special treat! We got to go on a date! Last Friday Levi decided that he would learn to take a bottle! YEA! That means that I can leave him for more than a few hours. The people we stayed with had two free tickets to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure and insisted we take them. So, we got to spend a whole afternoon together! It was sooo nice! First, we went to Hard Rock Cafe and had a yummy lunch. Jason had never been to one so that was fun...and this one is the largest in the world. Afterwards, we made the mistake of going on a huge roller coaster. We both love coasters but get the situation in your head...we haven't been to an amusement park in like 8 years. AND, we have both been on a diet for six weeks and so had just eaten the biggest meal we have had in almost two months. Then, we get on this coaster and it starts out slowly up a hill. So, we are just sitting there waiting to get to the top of the hill when *WHAM* ...it just takes off! Like seriously fast UP the hill. We were soooo not ready. I just spent the whole 90 seconds praying, "please don't puke. Please don't puke!" Luckily, I didn't. And we proceeded to ride it three more times and the other big coaster 4 times (there were NO lines!) Though, I do have to say that at 12:30 that night Jason got up and DID puke. Maybe that stop to the world's largest McDonald's AFTER eight roller coaster rides and a huge lunch wasn't the best decision!
All in all it was a great weekend. We were exhausted and were glad to come home but it was time well spent!
* I put some new templates in the shop tonight. I have had these done for a while now but just haven't had the time to get them all loaded up. So glad I did it! I really love some of these!
And here are some LO's I did with them...
LO made using Meredith Fenwicks's EVERYDAY INSPIRATION crop freebie
Made using stuff from CatScraps -- doodles by Ida and papers by Catrine
Shabby Princess pares, stitched border by Zoe Pearn (SSD), alphas by Dani Mogstad
Beautiful papers by Meredith Fenwick from her EVERYDAY INSPIRATION collection
And a few more that aren't from templates...
This one is for this months scraplift at Sweet Shoppe Designs. We were lifting Jennifer Woodbury's awesome gallery! I just loved THIS LO of Jenn's. She is sooooo talented! I just love her gorgeous photos, her clean pages, and her wonderful sense of clean design. She is one of my FAVORITE scrappers so it was humbling to lift her!
This was Alaina a few years ago...what a SWEETIE!
This is a 2-page LO about when Alaina got her ears pierced....here are the pages individually
Here's a simple one using Dani Mogstad's new Christmas kit. I used it for a non-Christmas LO :)
This is Alaina playing at the Children's Museum a few weeks ago. What a sweetheart! I used a Bella Backdrop by Nancie Rowe Janitz, sequins by Danielle CT, and what may be a template from me :)
I used MandaBean's awesome Watermelon Granita paper pack for this. LOVE IT!
Alrighty...well, there is much much more that could be said but I think I have given you quite a bit! Have a GREAT evening!
Love the pictures with Grandma!

Yeah! I am all so excited when I opened up your page and there was so much eye candy to look at! Your grandma looks so good for her age! I bet you inherited her genes and will be blessed with that too! How cool that you got a date night and at a big park like that too - so special! Welcome back!
