...I'm so behind on pictures! I usually DL my pix almost every day. And now I can't remember the last time I did it! Bad mama. Well, at least I am taking pictures. Not as many as usual I admit, but I'm still snapping away. A messy house with boxes everywhere doesn't make for the nicest shots though.
The last two days we had in-service training for work. It was good to get a better idea of how things work here and what we will be doing. It was also awesome to get a calendar because I'm the type of person that wants to know when EVERYTHING is happening LONG BEFORE it is there. I also like to count down....for ANY event. Silly, I know, but at any time you could ask me "How long until {insert event here}" and I will most likely be able to tell you. I also could tell you how long ago ________ was. Yep, I'm a counter. Always have been, always will me.
Today we decided to take the day off from getting settled and we took the kids to a local water park. Since I would just be sitting there holding Levi we decided that Jason and the the older kids would go in and Levi and I would occupy ourselves somewhere. My plan was to go to Wal-Mart and enjoy the shopping time without knowing that Jason was annoyed because I was taking too long or with Alaina telling me all the things she "needed." But before Wal-Mart, I really wanted to see if I could find a wireless Internet connection so I could see if my Internet problems were with my computer (I have been soooo scared that my beautiful new laptop had a bug of some sort) or it the craziness was just due to the wonky Internet connection we have at the school. Clever little gal that I am, I decided that I would pull into the parking lot of a hotel and tap into their wireless (am I allowed to do that??) Anyway, found a Travelodge, got connected, but it was sooooo slow I gave up. So, I was giving up on the Internet plan (no, I don't have a Starbucks near me) and I was off to Wal-Mart. Then I saw a local coffee shop with Wi-Fi so I thought I'd give it a try. I figured that even if the connection was slow, I could enjoy a cup of Chai and hang out with my buddy Levi. Well, the Chai was good, the connection was fast, the people were friendly, and I FINALLY got my Scrapartist goodies downloaded as well as a few design team kits. So, good news and bad news. Good news is that I got my stuff, bad news is that for some reason my home internet connection hates Scrapartist (and a few other sites) and will curtail my spending. Ugh.
So..with scrapping spirits high I scrapped four pages today! One I don't think I can show you yet because it is for the Sweet Shoppe SCRAP WITH THE SUGARBABES prompt. But, the others I can show. First is a LO with Lynn Grieveson's new kit debuting this weekend during the Designer Digitals sale. It is called CHRISSY'S SUMMER.
The next one was me scrapping just for me...I just HAD to play with some of my Michelle Coleman goodies!
ClaireDeLune kit by Michelle Coleman, stitching from her Boho Chic kit
And finally, a new LO using Dani Mogstad's incredible THIS LOVE collection stuff:
One funny kid story before I go...last night my mom was watching the kids for us while we were at our meeting. I come home to feed Levi and walk in to TOTAL CHAOS. My mom was understandably frazzled, I was just amused. All three kids were screaming for various reasons. As a mom of three ages 3 and under, I have learned to do what I can and not fret when I cant do everything. So, I was feeding Levi with Caleb screaming at my fee and Alaina crying in her room. I finish with Levi, put Caleb in our room (they still aren't used to this sharing a room thing) and then go talk to Alaina. She tells me all her sad stories but all I wanted to know is why Caleb was crying. She told me they were switching beds (Alaina is on a top bunk and Caleb is below.) "Switch beds?" I ask. I still wasn't understanding why Cabe was crying. "Why was Caleb crying? Did he fall?" "No" she answers. So I ask again why he was crying. "Well," she said,"Caleb was up on my bed and I wanted him to get down but he couldn't do it by himself so I tried to carry him down but he was too heavy." Okay, do I laugh at this point or scream?? What!?! A three year old thinks she can CARRY her two year old brother who weighs as much as she does DOWN the ladder of a BUNK BED? Who is she kidding? Luckily, Caleb survived, Alaina stopped crying, Levi went to bed, I went back to my meeting, and my mom probably sat and thought about how glad she was that she was done with little kids!
Thanks for popping in!
Why I am up now, I do not know--but I wanted to say that those pages are AWESOME!!! Love the one with the wedding photo--oh well I love them all!! I don't know how you manage to scrap 4 pages in a day--I can barely do one-LOL! Glad you got your SA stuff and hope you can get the home connection figured out. Life with kids--gotta love it:):) --Hollie
