...It's 4:00 in the morning here and I am up with Levi (jet lag is hitting him). So, I thought I would just check in and say officially that WE ARE BACK!! We got back to the States on Tuesday afternoon. Over 20 hours on a plane, 36 total travel hours, with three kids age three and under...phew! I am SO glad it is over. However, I must say, the kids were sooooo amazing and I can't complain one bit about how they travel-led. Total superstars!
I'm glad to be back. There are some things and some people that I will miss in Malaysia, but I am really glad to be back. I am excited about the things ahead of us and although there are still many unknowns, I know that things will work themselves out.
I am HOPING to start scrapping again in the next day or two. I miss it soooo much but I also dearly miss sleep and my family! It was so nice yesterday to be with my family and not have a bazillion things on my to do list. I just got to enjoy them.
I also got to enjoy TARGET...my most super favorite store EVER! When we lived in Colorado Springs there was a super Target a mile from my house and I was in heaven! So, I took Alaina with me yesterday so we could try to find a jacket for Caleb (the boy owns ONE long sleeve shirt and ONE pair of pants!) Living in Malaysia doesn't really call for warm clothes! So I picked him up a cute denim jacket. I also picked up a skirt for Alaina and some cute little mini-scrapbooks in the dollar spot. I could have gone crazy there but I restrained myself. I have to get out of the hoarding mentality -- I officially live in the States now so I don't have to get EVERYTHING right when I see it. But oh how fun would that be?
Well, since I can't share any LO's with you because I am not at my computer, I'll share a bit of scrapping news. I joined a few new creative teams over the last month or so. I know, I know, I feel crazy at times with so many teams. BUT, I just LOVE to scrap and being on creative teams makes me scrap (I am such a people pleaser that I always do my minimum requirements and usually more!) Also, since money is tight it is nice to get these AMAZING designs for free. I am now scrapping for Dani Mogstad and am a SugarBabe at SSD. And, I have another team I get to work with but I can't say anything yet. I want to shout this one from the rooftops but I'll wait patiently. Over at DST there is a thread about dream CT's. This is one of my three all-time dream teams. Of course, I am already on some of my dream teams but I have three that I would give an arm and leg to be on.
In other scrapping news I entered Photoshop Elements Scrappy Awards. There were ten categories and I entered all ten. Let's see if I can remember them...holiday, patriotic/military, pet, wedding, graduation, baby, sports, love/romance, and two more I can't remember. Luckily, they didn't have to be all new LO's so I got to use a bunch I had already done and only had to do a few in order to enter all categories. I made one of my new all time fav LO's so when I get my computer hooked up I'll give you a peek. They don't announce the winners until September...by then I'll probably have forgotten about it!
Okay, I need to go back to bed. Bye!
Glad to see you here in the states! I hope your first few days of adjustment go alright! Can't wait to see some of your new LO's

Welcome back to the US! I hope your adjustment goes quickly and well. When do you move to your new job? Are you both hired or just one of you?

Glad you're back in the states! I've been following your blog for awhile, you have a beautiful family. I was wondering if you could e-mail me, I have a couple questions about what it means to be involved in ministry. I am feeling like maybe that is what we are called to do. Thank you! kristigirl007@yahoo.com
