...Do you ever have those days that you just feel like you are a good mom? They don't come often, but today was one of those days. I didn't do anything miraculous and even anything memorable, but I just *enjoyed* my kiddos today. I played with them when I could have been working. I took them to the playground when I could have been packing. I had a "pizza picnic" on our bed when I could have made them sit at the table. I made cookies with them and worked at their pace and let them dump all the ingredients in (even if it does made a huge mess and in the end the proportions are no where near accurate). I got off the computer when Alaina just wanted to show me what TV show was on. Yep, it was a good mama day. And although no one activity will be remembered by them, it is my hope that many, many days like this will add up to one big happy childhood experience.
So...I am NOT the ultimate digi scrapper. Ha! I'll admit I was a tad disappointed when I didn't move on to round 4, but at least I wasn't SURPRISED. I think it would have been more upsetting had I really liked my LO. But I didn't. NOTHING clicked for me on this challenge. So, it was no surprise that I'm not moving on. And there were lots of other people who had wonderful LO's who didn't move on. So, I'm in good company. And YEA for those who are still in it. The competition is TOUGH! And my prediction for the winner still holds strong. It's not a record album, it's not a cassette tape, it's a....
So anyway. We're all good here. One box is packed. About a zillion to go! We'll get moved one way or another...we always do! It will be a mad dash to the finish but when the boat sails, our stuff will be on it!
Now that I am out of the contest, I can let go and let my creative juices start flowing again. I have a bunch of ideas for pages and I am just excited to let myself feel comfortable with who I am as a scrapper and not feel compelled to be like, or to be better than, anyone else. I'm also trying to decide whether I'll enter Memory Makers Masters this year. I'd like to, but I don't get the feeling that MM is really ready for digital and although they SAY it doesn't matter whether you are paper or digi, with all those paper companies sponsoring the event I am not quite sure I believe it. Maybe I'll save all my really good pages for CK Hall of Fame later this year. CK is definitely ready for digi.
Just one LO for you. I did this one a few weeks ago but never showed it because I thought about submitting it. But, I decided not to so here you go. I had a lot of fun with this two pager:
Night Night.
Oh, glad to see you are blogging:) I really love your LO's. Hope you do the HOF contest. Took me a second to figure out your UDS prediction but I got it-LOL:) Good clue--and I am with you. She is very talented. But so are you. Thanks for sharing.
