I know it has been a while. The last few days (okay, the last week) have been CRAZY! Good, but crazy. I can't even remember everything I have done. Here are the things I remember =)
Thursday was our day off. However, the dorm kids were also out of school on Thursday so rather than act like prisoners in our own home, hoping no one notices we were here, we decided to go to a local hotel for the day. It was so wonderful. We were able to rent the room just for the day and enjoy all that the hotel had to offer. They have a wonderful pool with an great water slide. Needless to say, the kids had a blast! They love swimming SOOOOO much! It was also nice to just hang out together in the hotel room -- no phone calls, no computers...just us. We let the kids jump on the bed in hotel rooms so they had a good 'ol time doing that! Caleb and I both took a LONG nap while Jason and Alaina were at the pool. It was so good to get some rest! That night, we dropped the kids off at Mimi's (our house helper) house and then we went out on a date. We were hoping to go see the PINK PANTHER (it has been forever since we saw a movie!) but Jason didn't check the dates of movies, just the times, so it turned out that it wasn't playing. That's okay. We saw NANNY McFEE instead. Kind of weird, but nice to sit and watch a movie regardless!
On Friday we left really early and took the dorm to Kuala Lumpur. It's a four and a half hour trip so we spent a lot of time on the bus. It was nice though. In KL, we got to enjoy SUBWAY for lunch and CHILI'S for dinner, as well as fun shopping at places like IKEA and BORDERS. I picked up a few more scrapping magazines which kept me busy for part of the ride home. All in all, it was a really fun day. Some of our students just shopped and ate and others went rock-climbing at Camp 5, which is Asia's largest rock climbing facility.
Yesterday and today I've been sick. Again. I could feel it coming on even before we went to KL but I went anyway. Big mistake. I was completely out of commission yesterday and basically stayed in bed ALL DAY. I stayed home from church today, took a good nap this afternoon, and have been feeling a *bit* better this evening so I made biscuits for breakfast tomorrow (biscuits with sausage and gravy) and I made cupcakes for after-school snack. I also had some time to scrap. Yea! It seems like it has been forever. There were a few layouts I really needed to do for my creative teams. Here goes...

I did this one REALLY FAST. MandaBean just released her amazing BEAN BAG KIT and wanted us to do some previews for release day. Everything here is from her VROOM! kit on the CD, available at Sweet Shoppe Designs
And finally, for your viewing pleasure, my new DESKTOP. Well okay, it's a week or two old now, but I never showed it off. I have totally customized my computer and all my drop menus, etc. (new fonts, new colors, etc...who new you didn't have to stick with the preset Microsoft choices?) So, I also wanted a new desktop. Usually I just have a picture of the kiddos up but I wanted this to be totally me. So here is what I did...
So how cute is this?? I just love looking at this every day! The blank white paper is where I put all my desktop icons/shortcuts.
Okay, sorry no new or interesting stories. I'll be better this week, I promise!
