...if I had one to post. But sadly, I had no time to scrap today. Always kind of sad. But, I did get some other digi-scrapping stuff done which always feels nice...I cleaned up more of my digi-scrapping folder, I got to leave some praise on a bunch of LO's at 2Peas, and I FINALLY downloaded some new kits for my creative teams. You have to know I am super busy when I have FREE KIT downloads sitting in my email account for DAYS and haven't downloaded them. Sheesh. Priorities =) I got two new ones from Jasbeanie which will be debuting on Friday. I'd show you the preview but there wasn't one. I also downloaded a few of Manda Beans and I am exciting to start playing with them. Tomorrow maybe??
I'm super excited to play with this last one...MIDNIGHT PICNIC. So many choices of what to scrap. Boy, girl, family, ANYTHING. Can't wait.
Okay, on to my day. As I mentioned yesterday, Jason was a sweetie and let me sleep in this morning. So I slept until 9:30, which, compared to 6:30, is definitely sleeping in! It was really nice. It was also really nice to wake up and not greet the day with cooking for 16, getting Alaina ready for school, checking email for important notices like the school burnt down overnight and I hadn't noticed. So, I had a few minutes of peace and quiet when I awoke. That is, until Caleb went into major "heap mode." See yesterday's post if you have NO IDEA what I am talking about. Okay, this one was BAD. He was happily playing in our room and then...he just crumpled to the floor and started bawling. And he WOULDN'T STOP. We tried all the normal stuff...get his Elly, tried to watch a video. Nothing. Still crying. So then I walked him to the kitchen to see if he would want something in there. He sort of pointed to the freezer (or was it my imagination hoping he would communicate SOMETHING to me?) So I opened the freezer, looked around, and pulled out a popsicle. These popsicles are nice because they are contained in a semi-soft/semi-hard plastic coating (more durable than Flavor-Ice.) So, they are good to gnaw on. So, he seemed happy. He happily gnawed away on his popsicle and so I am thinking, "Oh good, maybe his 2nd year molars are just starting to come in and they are bothering him." Mind you, teething has never bothered either of my kids, but hey, there is a first time for everything. So, we sat happily for a few minutes, popsicle and Baby Einstein. And then I made the fatal mistake of getting up. What was I thinking? I am NOT ALLOWED to get up DURING the show. No more popsicle. Just crying. And lots of it. My lil' heart was just breaking because I want to comfort him but don't know how. We finally decided on giving him some baby ibuprofen in case it is those teeth. He HATES to take medicine (whereas Alaina LOVES it and would do it all day if we let her) but I figured that since he was already upset, we couldn't do much more harm. So the crying continues. Finally, Mimi, our amah (a house helper here in Malaysia) decided to try to take him outside. They went for a little walk and he came back somewhat soothed (he LOVES her...she's been a part of his life since he was 3 months old). HE was still pretty upset so she decided to take him to do his favorite thing...hang out the laundry. For some reason, Caleb loves hanging out the clothes to dry (side note...we have a drier so I can never be quite why Mimi hangs so much stuff out, but hey, I don't do my own laundry -- don't throw anything at me -- so I guess I can't judge). Anyway, so they went out to hang laundry and Mimi tells me to get the camera. So I do and this is what I saw. What a helpful little guy! The funniest thing about all this is that THOSE CLOTHES ARE DIRTY! They were hanging them up and I just kept thinking, I could have sworn I just put that shirt in the laundry. But then Mimi told me "These are dirty but I don't have any clean ones to hang yet and he loves doing this so much..."
Yes, I know, he was still not dressed and it was about 10:45. He never let us get that far in the getting ready process.
Moving on from my sweet little overly sensitive little guy. I have a fun picture to share from yesterday (you know that day where I never stopped moving and yet I feel like I got nothing done?) It was about 4 in the afternoon and I don't think I had even really eaten lunch yet. So, in what seemed like a lull in the day, I quickly went to make a sandwich for myself. But before I even got to have a bite, guess who was hungry? Who did you guess? Alaina? Right. Caleb? Right. They both wanted food and they wanted my sandwich! So, I offered to make them one and of course I got specific orders from Alaina..."two pieces of cold toast (bread)...one with PB and the other with jelly." Caleb doesn't speak so I made him a jelly sandwich (he isn't that thrilled with PB.) And they needed drinks. Alaina wanted milk. Cabe wanted water. Then of course they wanted to get out their tray to eat on and watch their shows (Playhouse Disney). This tray is new from IKEA last week and it is great because they both fit. How cute! And by that time, my poor sandwich was stale.
Okay, I'm almost done. Just a few other pix from tonight at bath time. Alaina insisted I get the camera out. She is doing this more and more frequently (as well as coming to the computer and asking to see specific LO's I have done.)
You see that big 'ol bruise on Alaina's face? Poor girl. Yesterday we went to a luncheon (funny that I could be at a luncheon and not actually eat...I really don't like pot lucks, but that is for another day.) Anyway, we were at this luncheon and I was taking pictures of one of my dorm kids and according to the reports she fell off her chair and banged it on the frame of the chair sitting next to her. OUCH! I couldn't believe how fast this thing swelled up. Like as soon as I heard the crying (and she was right next to me) I looked over and this thing was HUGE. I was so scared. Luckily it has retreated to just a big bruise. But she is still adorable as ever.
Okay, one last comment. Jason is cracking me up right now. He is BLOGGING! We have another sadly neglected blog for our friends and family to read (those who have no use for my endless ramblings.) But, it's been a while (like over a month) since I have updated it so he announced to me that HE is taking over. He has already uploaded a video! And, what is so super funny is that he is trying to use my blogging and digi-scrapping lingo 9even though he doesn't know it.) So he wrote something about his DF (dear family). Let's see if he knows what this means..."Honey, I ROTFLMBO at you!"
Goodnight.
Those little things may work with your digi friends who can not see, but I know you are just sitting in you chair and not even laughing, much less Rolling On The Floor Laugh My Butt Off.
