...to get to bed at a decent hour. It is our day off today and it is only ten minutes after ten. So, I should make this short and sweet and get my little self to bed. Oh, wait, I'm not little. I feel HUGE. Eight months pregnant can do that to you.
Anyway, yesterday I started my post by saying if I had a LO to share I would share it first. Turns out, I DID have one that I hadn't posted here. I lose track and forget where I have posted what. So anyway, to make up for yesterday, here's a LO early on.
I did this one sometime last week. Everything by Jen Wilson. No, wait, that's not true. File tabs are by Gina Miller. Isn't Cabe a cutie?
Okay, on to my day. Had a doctor's appt. this morning. Jason and Caleb came with me (Alaina was at school). Unfortunately, Jason missed the appointment because he took Caleb to the kids area of the hospital to play with the toys. Our plan was that I would call him when my number came up but when that happened, I couldn't get any reception on the phone. It's really too bad, too, because I really could have used his opinion on my ultrasound (I get one every visit!) The doctor started and said, "Oh, there's the baby's...oh, wait, do you know the sex? " I was only half paying attention at that point (I love this baby but I've had a gazillion ultrasounds and I just wasn't tuned in yet). So I quickly look and say, "no." He moved really quickly so I am not sure what I saw. Because my other two were surprises I have not ever really looked for the sex of the baby and been told, "See, that's the _________." So I only got a glimpse and I'm telling you, your mind can play tricks on you. So I'm still as clueless as ever. Oh well, only another six weeks or so.
This afternoon I scrapped some with Jasbeanie's new kits that will be released this Friday. I struggle so much with both of these LO's...I'm not sure why. I guess maybe it's hard to have to scarp with a particular color scheme/kit regardless of my mood. Anyway, it was stretching and I was able to try new things. Neither one are my normal style...but then again, I'm not sure I have a normal style. Perhaps that's why I'm known on my digi-scrapping message boards as ALittleEclectic.
Kit is HEY IT'S SPRING by Jasbeanie. It will be available on Friday at Scrapbook Bytes and Jasbeanie Designs. Journaling is just about the changes our family was going through at the time...a new baby, moving to another country.
This one was kind of fun. There's something I really like about it. Kit is part three of Jabeanie's KEWL BEANS series. This kit is called JELLY BELLIES and it will also be available this Friday at Jasbeanie Designs and at A Cherry on Top.
After Caleb's nap (and Jason's nap), the four of us went out shopping. Well, Alaina and I went shopping and Jason and Caleb went to eat Sticky Rice (a wonderfully sweet Thai dessert...which reminds me, I have some sitting in the kitchen waiting for me. Mmmmm...) Alaina and I picked up a few things...some pants for her (not that she needs them), a shirt for Jason (because Alaina really likes to buy things for other people), and some card stock and ribbon for me. I have a few projects in mind for this weekend so I hope to have fun with those. After shopping we went to dinner and then came home. Got the kids in bed and had some time to scrap. I was inspired by THIS LAYOUT by Shanah. I loved her journaling about her feelings about her son. I've tried to journal about this before (SEE HERE), but I was inspired to do another LO with the same idea.
This picture is from a year ago and I have always loved it. Everything is by Jen Wilson from her BOYISH CHARM collection.
And that, my readers, is the end. My clock just turned to 10:30 and I am off to bed. Well, maybe after some sticky rice.
Janet, I just caught up on your blog. We've been out in the village the last few days, so I had a lot of reading to do :-) Lots of lovely eye-candy; I love the layouts you did for Joy and the most recent one of Caleb. Cute story, too, about your helper hanging DIRTY laundry!
I've been trying to figure out how these people get away without using diapers, so I decided to just let Jack run around without a diaper but with pants on while we were in the village one day, and he of course wet himself immediately and I gave that up. What was I gonna do when he pooped??? Obviously I had not thought this through. Then I figured out that their babies don't eat enough to pee and poop the way mine does; it's not that they are super smart and potty-trained by one year. Lots of new revelations in the village.
One of my students was possessed by a demon while I was gone, but she spent a few days with the "bomo", and was healed. Man, that's some scary stuff. In the three days I was there, I had literally about two hours by myself, and there were little eyes peeking under the door waiting for me to come out while I was resting. It's kind of like having paparazzi following me, but I love them all, precious kids.
Anyway, thanks for sharing. Hope Caleb starts talking soon. Blessings, Kellie
