Ever feel like you are living in a fog? That's me right now. More tired than I know how to express. I've got lots going against me...a busy job, two little munchkins who never seem to get tired, being 31 weeks pregnant, and still having this nasty sinus infection (and therefore not sleeping well). Oh well. Tomorrow is our day off. Our family day. I can't sleep in...have a doctor's appointment...but at least it won't be so busy. Oh, I *should* mention that some of this tiredness could be my own fault. I probably don't quite get to bed when I should...but hey, I was waiting for the Shabby Shoppe to reopen, I like to check in on the message boards, I like to leave some praise. But boy oh boy do I need to sleep!
ANYWAY...enough complaints. Basically my life is very, very good and hey, who isn't tired?
One of the downsides to being tired is my lack of motivation to scrap. I want to want to, but my head gets too foggy and I can't seem to get the creativity flowing. But, sometimes you just have to push through. So I've done a few LO's in the last few days. Two that in my opinion are just okay (but I HAVE to limit how much time I play with a LO!) and one I am really happy with. I'm so happy the one I love is of Cabe. I'm really trying to be better about scrapping him!
First, my two "just okay" LO's:
I LOVE this kit, I just don't love what I have done with it. But oh well. Kit is FUNNY VALENTINE by Mindy Teresawa and Sara Carling @ Sweet Shoppe Designs. "A" alpha is by MandaBean, also available @ Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Another pink one...
Again, gorgeous kit, so-so LO. Kit is MINTY PASSION by Jasbeanie available exclusively at A Cherry on Top.
And the one I really like:
My little Cabe. Isn't he sweet? I have loved these photos and wanted to scrap them ever since I found this quote months ago. Kit is NEAPOLITAN by MandaBean and Mindy Teresawa @ Sweet Shoppe Designs. Aged Polaroid alpha also by MandaBean at the Sweet Shoppe. Stitching is by Shabby Princess from her free SPLENDID kit.
Okay, Valentine's Day. We had to work so there wasn't a lot of time to celebrate, but it was still good. I told Jason not to get me anything (I'm saving all my holidays for a new DSLR!) He still got me some gorgeous roses, though. I got him a few things he has wanted and we got the kids a few things. Then we went out to our favorite restaurant for a yummy Indian meal. It was fun.
Alaina had fun at school, too. She got to bring Valentine's to her classmates and teacher and they got to make fun V-day crafts. I decided to try making some candy bar wrappers for her to bring. I figured it wasn't worth all the work for just 4, so I made some for our dorm kids and the dorm staff as well. It was fun.
Okay, well, this post has taken me a while (I keep having to get up to do things). I was going to past V-day pix, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. I have to put the dorm kids to bed and then I AM GOING TO BED!
Janet,
So glad you took the time to post. I can't imagine being a parent to FOURTEEN TEENAGERS plus two little ones. I admire you. Thanks also for taking the time to comment on my layout; it really meant a lot to me. I love to read your blog; I would really like to start one...being in villages a lot I have LOTS of good stories :-) But I have decided that since technically we're tourists, maybe a blog won't work for me now. Hope you get some sleep soon. Kellie

I love those layouts! Hope you are feeling better soon - sinusitis is just horrible isn't it?
